Software Engineer · ENSA Agadir Graduate
Yahya El Omari
Who I Am
I'm a Computer Science engineer, graduated from ENSA Agadir with distinction. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Morocco, I hold dual US and Moroccan citizenship, so no visa sponsorship is needed for roles in either country. What I actually do: take a messy requirement and turn it into a system that runs in production, not a diagram of one.

My Philosophy
I believe “Programming languages are tools to make life simpler and more enjoyable.” I don't chase trends; I focus on selecting the right tool for each specific challenge to create meaningful impact.
“Tools change every year. The judgment to pick the right one doesn't.”

My Technical Expertise
I have comprehensive experience across the full stack. On the backend, I specialize in Spring Boot and Java for robust APIs. For the frontend, I work extensively with Next.js and React to build dynamic user interfaces.
Core Stack
- Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, REST APIs, JSON:API, JWT, Drupal 10, PHP
- Frontend: Next.js, React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Material UI
- Data & Messaging: MySQL, PostgreSQL, OracleDB, Redis, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ
DevOps, Quality & AI
- DevOps: Docker, Git, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub, Nginx, Linux, AWS
- Testing & Quality: Playwright, JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube
- AI & Automation: n8n, Supabase
- Architecture: UML, ERP (Odoo)

Professional Journey
Software Engineer Intern, Graduation Project — VOID Agency
Feb 2026 - Jul 2026My six-month graduation project was the rebuild of Atos's international web portal, delivered inside VOID Agency's eight-person agile team. The platform serves 20 regions in 9 languages and is edited by more than 300 webmasters at once.
🏗️ Decoupled Architecture
A headless Drupal 10 backend, hidden behind a private network, serving a Next.js frontend over JSON:API with Redis caching and incremental static regeneration.
📰 Editorial Engine
Three of the portal's seven content modules built end to end — Case Studies, Research Reports, Events & Webinars — plus an audit of the four built by teammates, fixing regional filtering and WCAG 2.1 gaps.
🧰 Framework Contributions
Three fixes shipped into Vactory, the agency's shared framework: a rebuilt article picker, a PHP array-union bug breaking form persistence, and a server-side date localisation plugin.
📈 Performance
Delivered pages scoring 91 performance, 94 accessibility and 92 best practices on Lighthouse, with a 179 ms TTFB against an 800 ms budget.

Software Engineer Intern — Ahdigital
Jul 2025 - Aug 2025Two months at Ahdigital, automating the work nobody wants to do by hand: an inbox that drafts its own replies, a competitor watcher that tells you what to do next and not just what happened, an inventory system built in a week, and a video pipeline that turns a script into a finished cut. Mostly built in n8n, with Supabase behind it.
📧 AI Email Agent
Engineered an intelligent agent using n8n that filters spam, drafts context-aware replies, and orchestrates a Telegram-based validation loop.
📦 Inventory System
Collaborated with a team of four to architect and deliver a robust Inventory Management System within a strict one-week deadline.
🕵️ Competitive Watcher
Contributed to a tool that watches a company's competitors and alerts the moment one of them posts. It reads that post against the account's entire history, then recommends the move to make, not just the metric to look at.
🎬 Content Factory
The other half of the Watcher. A competitor announces something, and a stronger version of that post is drafted and produced automatically, waiting for approval before you have finished reading the alert.

Software Engineer Intern — OpenTecc
Feb 2025 - May 2025My professional foundation was built at OpenTecc, where I took ownership of Amanti, a peer-to-peer logistics platform designed to address the “last mile” delivery problem.
🚨 The Challenge
- High failure rate in home deliveries
- Inefficient routes wasting time & fuel
- Customer unavailability during day
- Complex return processes
💡 Our Solution
- Flexible pickup at local drop points
- Route optimization via multi-drop locations
- Empowers local businesses with foot traffic
- Seamless returns & reduced stress
Technical Implementation:
- Backend: Spring Boot with Stripe API for payments & automated email notifications.
- Frontend: Next.js with Material UI for a comprehensive Admin Dashboard.
- Integration: Custom Remix-based Shopify plugin for store communication.
- Design: Full system architecture and workflows modeled with UML.

Leadership & Community
My role as Treasurer and Team Manager at APPS Club was pivotal. It's where I discovered my passion for knowledge sharing and community building.
Workshops & Teaching
Co-designed and taught a Git/GitHub workshop series for junior students, covering version control to CI/CD pipelines.
Events & Competitions
Organized the Microsoft Community Conference and directed “Let's Code” competitions, connecting experts and students.

What Truly Drives Me
The pattern that keeps showing up in what I do: find the actual problem, not the one everyone assumed, then go fix it instead of just naming it. It's the school renovation project, it's three bugs fixed in someone else's shared framework at Atos instead of filed as tickets, and it's the retake I let myself fail on purpose to get a different outcome.
